Walk with me is my first effort recorded at home on the Samplitude programme, i've always loved putting down demos on 4 track machines, but as the sound quality is never that great i've never done anything with the material.This instrumental was born the day i got the Samplitude programme, i will explain.I was very excited to have this new setup and was keen to put something down to try it out, i didn't have anything in mind to record so i just set up a condensor mic through a valve pre amp and picked up the good old Acoustic guitar and started playing something, it kind of appeared from nowhere. I listened back to the take and thought it sounded pretty cool. I then added a second acoustic rhythm track which was a nice contrast to the first. Next i placed a mic in front of my 5150 combo and improvised a melody and a whole bunch of self indulgent lead playing which i thoroughly enjoyed. Again listening back, i was happy with what i heard. I began to layer different electric parts on top to compliment the original lead line, and lastly added the Bass. Once the recording was completed i messed around with mixing and equalizing etc. The result is an instrumental i'm very proud of, and i hope you enjoy listening to it as much as i enjoyed creating it.
